NEW VIDEO ADDED – ROSEMOUNT AUSTRALIAN FASHION WEEK PROMO

So the reason I’ve been so reclusive for the past 3 weeks has finally come to an end. From the start of pre until final delivery, I didn’t have a single day off, and I achieved something that I never hope to repeat – a 42 hour straight shift at work. Hello long weekend.

Anyway, our brief was to energise the audience of designers and the fashion industry at large – to make them feel proud to have been a part of the past 15 years of Australian fashion. We were asked to include archival footage collected over the past 15 years of fashion shows, backstage and the general energy and passion of everyone who makes it all possible.

After a gruelling (well, for Laura in the harness and 4 metres in the air) shoot day, it was straight into FCP for a 3 day cut, which had to be locked off before we embarked on 89 VFX shots to be completed in 7 days. I’d like to thank coffee, Red Bull, guarana, and a very supportive producer who would get us anything we needed to keep us on keeping on.

CUPID GOES TO JAPAN

Cupid has been selected to screen at the Short Shorts Film Festival, Tokyo JAPAN. Short Shorts is also one of the few Oscar qualifying film festivals, where the winner of the grand prix is eligible for an Academy Award nomination. Screening dates and more info coming soon.

With four festivals already announced for Cupid in 2010 (an apprently more to come, says our lady in distribution), it looks like this year could be our year. It feels slightly odd that this film was completed almost a year and a half ago, but it makes me well aware of the enduring life a film can have and I’m super excited that more and more people are going to be enjoying our work. Yeah boiiiii!

CUPID – NTH AMERICAN SCREENINGS – ARIZONA, OHIO & ALBERTA, CANADA

Cupid is continuing it’s North American rampage, with more screenings for 2010! The festivals are:

- Sedona International Film Festival, Arizona USA, February 21-28
- 34th Cleveland International Film Festival, Ohio USA, March 18-28 (one of my other shorts Rope Burn, screened at CIFF last year)
- Reel Shorts Film Festival, Alberta CANADA, April 19-25
